Where are my chats stored?
In your browser, on your device. If you subscribe to Pro, they're also stored on our server so they can sync between your devices.
Which chats get saved?
The ones you open on chatgpt.com and claude.ai. To bring in everything at once, import the official data export from ChatGPT or Claude. The file is read on your device.
What if ChatGPT or Claude changes its layout?
Saving may pause for a while. Your library stays available, Lorebox tells you what's happening, and a fix arrives automatically, usually with no extension update.
Does it use my ChatGPT or Claude account?
No. Lorebox never calls their internal APIs, and it doesn't ask for your password. It only reads what's visible on the page. It isn't affiliated with OpenAI or Anthropic.
Which browsers does it work in?
